Mercotac Inc. was founded in 1978 to manufacture unique, high quality, low cost rotating electrical connectors. The original design was actually conceived decades before in order to provide a superior high fidelity connection to spinning Leslie organ speakers. Since then, the design and manufacturing process has been continually improved and the product line expanded. Our production facility is located in the north San Diego County community of Carlsbad, California. We utilize the latest technology equipment available and time-tested quality control measures to assure reliable Mercotac® Connectors. To service our customers worldwide, Mercotac® supports a network of approved foreign distributors outside the USA.

Many Mercotac® customers were using standard brush slip rings until they discovered our uniquely-designed connectors, and have subsequently replaced their old technology slip rings with superior Mercotac® Rotating Electrical Connectors. Click here to see the difference.

Mercotac Inc. is devoted to promoting a healthy environment. Mercotac® connectors contain materials that should not be disposed of in the trash, but through proper recycling or a local waste recovery program. Mercotac Inc. offers a recycling service for this purpose, and encourages all end users to either dispose of Mercotac® connectors properly or return them to Mercotac Inc. for recycling.

Mercotac Inc. is also committed to the reduction of pollution caused by the generation of electricity from non-renewable energy sources. In February of 2005, Mercotac Inc. became a “green power” generator by installing a 45kW solar photovoltaic electrical gerneration system at our facility. The electricity used by Mercotac Inc. is now produced from a renewable, non-polluting source.
